Rolli Experience

Rolli Experience is a cultural initiative to experience an immersive weekend among the prestigious Palazzi dei Rolli, the impressive Genoese noble residences, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which in the second half of the sixteenth century gave life to a very peculiar system of public hospitality.

An evocative proposal, to live the dream of spending a stay in Genoa in the shoes of a guest of the ancient Republic, through a program full of exclusive events, including art, beauty, history, and good food.

Rolli Experience includes an overnight stay of two nights in selected structures, mainly located inside the Palazzi dei Rolli, thematic guided tours of the city, its historic centre, and the most prestigious palaces of the Rolli System, musical entertainment, aperitifs, tastings and themed dinners among the precious furnishings and frescoed ceilings of the spectacular noble residences of Genoa.

The Rolli Experience is scheduled as follows :

Program

Friday:

6.30 p.m.: welcome cocktail dinner at one of the 42 palaces belonging to the Rolli System. The cocktail will be preceded by a visit to the Palace. The evening will give you the opportunity to embark on an authentic experiential journey through the beauty and flavours that well characterize the local artistic, cultural and gastronomic heritage.

9.30 p.m.: end of the evening event.

Saturday:

10.00 a.m.: guided tour of the historic center, “The Palazzi dei Rolli and the Historic Shops”. Departure from the Tourist Information Office, Via Garibaldi 12r. The itinerary includes the entrance and the visit to a selection of Palazzi dei Rolli, including Palazzo Rosso, part of the famous museum complex of the Museums of Strada Nuova, where the charm of the seventeenth-century residence lives on, which houses the rich art collections and the historical furnishings of the Brignole-Sale family in rooms sumptuously decorated with frescoes and stuccoes.
A visit to Palazzo Tursi will allow you to admire the Paganini Rooms, where Nicolò Paganini's historic violins are preserved, including the famous "Cannone Guarnieri". This will be followed by a pleasant moment of musical entertainment by a violinist on arias by Paganini. The visit to the Palazzi dei Rolli will continue with the Nymphaeum and the Secret Garden of Palazzo Lomellino. Along the way it will be possible to admire some of the most famous Genoese Historical Shops, that have been active for at least 70 years and preserve original architectural elements, furnishings, equipment or historical instruments. A unique and authentic treasure, waiting to be discovered.

Around 1.00 p.m. end of the guided tour.

Free lunch and leisure time

4.00 p.m.: guided tour to discover one of the most prestigious Palazzi dei Rolli. The visit will be intermingled with pleasant moments of entertainment, tasting tea with typical cakes of the Genoese tradition in the company of the "master of the house", owner of the Palace. The delight of being welcomed into a historic residence as a special guest is guaranteed.

6.00 p.m .: end of the afternoon event.

Leisure time

7.30 p.m.: short guided tour to discover the secrets of one of the most famous Palazzi dei Rolli, located in the heart of the historic centre of Genoa. An attractive narration, full of anecdotes and curiosities not to be missed.

The visit will be followed by a refined Placée Dinner at the Palace.

What the package Rolli Experience includes

The Rolli Experience package includes an overnight stay of two nights in selected structures, mainly located inside the “Palazzi dei Rolli”. A variety of activities are also included, like for instance thematic guided tours of the city, its historic centre, and the most prestigious palaces of the Rolli System, aperitifs, tastings and themed dinners.

Included in the package, the special tourist card Rolli Experience with validity of 72h from the moment of activation; the card, completely free, can be activated and used on the same weekend as the Rolli Experience or, if you prefer, at a later date (no later than 30.06.2025). Please note that once activated the card lasts 72 hours.

The card includes admission to some of the city's most significant cultural and tourist attractions (Palazzo Ducale, Climb to the Towers of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Visit to the Basilica of Carignano, Genoa Lighthouse, Galata Maritime Museum and Submarine Nazario Sauro, House of Cristoforo Colombo, MEI - National Museum of Italian Emigration, Royal Palace and Galleries of Spinola Palace, Castello D'Albertis - Museum of the Cultures of the World, Museo d'Arte Orientale E. Chiossone, Museum of Contemporary Art of Villa Croce, Risorgimento Museum, Natural History Museum, Musei di Strada Nuova, Museo di Sant'Agostino, Wolfsoniana, Frugone collections, GAM, Gallery of Modern Art Museum of Archeology Liguria) and also includes the use of public city transport (AMT).
