To celebrate the Nativity of St. Giovanni Battista, Patron saint of the city, Genoa will held various events, from the evening of June 23rd, with the lighting of the traditional bonfire in Piazza Matteotti, the Ghost Tour, and the concert of the Lilith Festival dedicated to Roberta Alloisio, cnd other religious events such as the solemn and spectacular procession from the Cathedral to the Old Port taking place on June 24th.

June 23rd
In the historical centre will take place the Ghost Tour, a journey through the legends and treasures of the ancient city centre. From 8:30pm in Piazza Matteotti the Ghost Tour 2017 maps will be given to the participants, which will serve as a guide. Artistic Coordination is led by Marco Alex Pepè.
From 9 pm in Piazza Matteotti, there will be the Lilith Festival, an event dedicated to Roberta Alloisio with concerts by Martina Vinci, Animantiga, Chiara Jacobs Chamber Folk Band.
In Piazza Matteotti at 24 o'clock will be lit the traditional bonfire of St. Giovanni Battista. After the bonfire it will be possible to enjoy the Dj set by VAM DJ.
On the same evening, at the Cloister of St. Matteo, at 7 pm, the presentation of the festival "In una notte d'estate" will take place.
24 June
On June 24th, at 10:30am, the Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, where at 5:00pm the Vespers will be held, presided by Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, after which the solemn and spectacular procession from the Cathedral to the Old Port will take place.
