From the 8th to the 18th of June will be held the International Poetry Festival "Parole Spalancate", the longest poetry event in Italy which comes this year to its 23rd edition. The themes of this year's festival are the elevation and the poetic reconstruction of the universe.

In the Major Courtyard of Palazzo Ducale and in other places across the city, more than 100 free events will take place though readings, performances, concerts, exhibitions, screenings, guided tours and over 80 poets and artists from all over the world will participate.

The inauguration is dedicated to Fernanda Pivano, with the participation of several artists who have collaborated with her. Another homage will be made to Jim Morrison as a poet, with the intervention of his friend and collaborator Frank Lisciandro. There will be many important guests, among the names we want to highlight the Nobel Prize Gao Xingjian, the "Premio Strega" Sandro Veronesi, Massimo Zamboni and the artist Emilio Isgrò.
