Chiesa di San Sisto

The church of San Sisto, neoclassical heir (1827) of a Romanesque church built in the late 11th century to commemorate the victory of Genoese and Pisans against the Arab flee, is reachable walking along the seaside of Via Prè.

The interior of the sacred building has been recently restored, bringing back to its ancient splendour the dome of Pietro Pellegrini and G.B. Resasco, with frescoes painted by M.C.Danielli.
