59th Edition of the Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics and the Historical Pageant

Every four years this historical race change its venue, between the four Ancient Maritime Republics: Genoa, Amalfi, Pisa and Venice. Four boats will represent their city of origin thanks to its own colours and figureheads. The competition is one of the hardest: rowing with static seat on a set course of 2000 meters from the starting point.
The Regatta will start at 5.30 pm in the beautiful frame of Maritime Station.
The boat race is preceded by a spectacular Medieval Pageant of the Ancient Italian Maritime Republics with 320 figurants representing their cities. The Parade will re-enact some of the four Republics most significant characters and crucial historical events. The Historical Parade will start at via S. Lorenzo at 3 pm.
