On the occasion of the event La Storia in Piazza, that will be focused on the “food” and ideally also on the Expo Milano 2015, Palazzo Rosso will host  the exhibition “A tavola con i Patriarchi. Divagazioni iconografiche su soggetti della Genesi”. Paintings, drawings, engravings, books and majolicas will draw the attention on nutrition aspects, seen through the holy writ and particularly in the Old Testament. The works selected will illustrate - among the others – the topic of the apple as prohibited fruit, the poor food of a shepherd community and the symbolic meaning of some food.

From April 10 to 13 three paintings belonging to the Musei di Strada Nuova collection will be displayed at Palazzo Ducale, to discuss about art and nutrition history: La cuoca by Bernardo Strozzi, Natura morta (Still life) by Jan Roos and Natura morta by Cristoforo Munari.
