On December 8, 5 P.M., at Piazza de Ferrari, the Genoese Christmas “lights up” with the traditional Christmas Tree Lighting. During the ceremony, the Gruppo Folklorico Città di Genova and Coro del Monte Cauriol (at 4.30 p.m.) will perform a special Christmas concert. The tree will be offered by Parco Naturale Regionale dell'Aveto (a Natural park in Genoa’s highland) this year as well; since it will be a spruce destinated to be cut, no trees won’t be sacrificed fo the Genoese Christmas.
