As usual, the last Saturday before Christmas in Piazza de Ferrari and Palazzo Ducale will take place Confeugo, a traditional gift of the Abbot of the people to the Doge with exchanges of best wishes. The gift is a an offering of a log of a laurel which then is burned: according to tradition the unburned logs are magical.
In addition to Confeugo, in Piazza della Vittoria, will take place GenovAccesa, with fireworks and music to celebrate Christmas in Genoa.
