From the 27th to the 29th of October the first edition of Paganini Genova Festival takes place in Genoa, three days to celebrate the great violinist that comes from this city. The program is composed of concerts, cultural meetings, conferences and guided tours, with the purpose of appealing to different kind of spectators.
This meaningful event, that will be planned once a year, will be a prelude to the 55th International Competition of Violin - Paganini's Prize, that is organized every three years and will take place in Genoa from the 5th to the 14 th of Aprile, 2018.
Paganini's Prize was founded in 1954 with the target of finding new, youg talented people: it discovered with time artists like Salvatore Accardo, Gidon Kremer and Leonidas Kavakos. The winner of the last edition, in 2015, was the Korean Yang In Mo.
