In 2016 Genoa celebrates the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the “Strade Nuove” and the “Palazzi dei Rolli” in the UNESCO World Heritage List with three editions of “Rolli Days”.
After the great success of the first two editions, with more than 160.000 visitors, the last date is on October 15th-16th.
Visitors will have the chance to discover a new important extension in the itinerary of “Palazzo Rosso” and “Musei di Strada Nuova”: the “Stanze della Duchessa” (the “Dutchess’ Rooms”), on the third floor of the dwelling, with furniture, sculptures and paintings commissioned by the last heirs of Brignole-Sale family between Genoa and Paris in 19th century. This extension completes the rediscovery and the enhancement of the Palace, in an extraordinary journey into the Genoese aristocracy’s dwelling culture.
In the October edition too, a wide selection of palaces will be open to the public (the list is being planned).
As usual, during the visits, students and researchers from the University of Genoa will provide visitors with artistic and historical information about the Palaces.
