An extended party to fill the evenings of the Genoese, tourists and visitors to our city, from 29 to 31 December, three nights of music to suit all tastes. A "kick off" to 2020 with one of the longest end-of-year parties ever.
New Year's Eve in Genoa will be tripled to satisfy all palates offering a varied program of concerts, starting on Sunday 29 December and continuing until New Year's Eve,Piazza De Ferrari will become an outdoor stage, for an exciting start to the 2020 musical scene.
Thanks to the support of Salini Impregilo, Iren and Esselunga Genoa is able to offer its visitors and the Genoese a "non-stop" celebration program. The event is also financed through local visitors taxes.
Giusy Ferreri will be the star of the last day of the year, preceded by the Boomdabash (30/12) and by Gabry Ponte (29/12) with music from rappers and youtubers each day. A party lasting three nights with music for all tastes which will see Genoa into the new year.
It will be a great outdoor New Year’s party in Genoa, which this year is tripled to please everyone’s taste and offer residents and visitors alike a varied and completely original concert program, starting as early as Sunday, December 29th and ending, naturally, on the night of San Silvestro.
Piazza De Ferrari will be transformed into an outdoor stage for three days, for an exciting musical kick-off to 2020, with a continuous succession of singers, DJs, youtubers and rappers. All directed, enlivened and conducted by Alberto Pernazza, who many will recall as a member of the “Ex Otago”, now also a TV and radio opinion leader and expert in fashion, music and trendsetting, he will be supported by Giovanni Carrara as Genoa’s most Genoese resident DJ.
The three days of non-stop fun will begin on Sunday 29 December with Giovanni Toti and Marco Bucci greeting the public on behalf of the authorities before handing over to “Mates”, one of the webs most widely followed groups, founded in 2015 through the meeting of Anima, St3pny, Surry and Vegas, internet stars who, in 2018, were joined by the music producer Jayden a humanoid mascot with the appearance of a panda.
At 22.00 it will be time for music from Gabry Ponte, world-renowned DJ, record producer and radio host, he has been enlivening Italian and international discotheques since 1993 with his music, climbing national and international dance charts and winning prestigious awards in the recording industry, including several platinum records. Gabry has worked (and continues to work) with numerous important artists from the music scene: in 1998 he began his collaboration with Maurizio Lobina and Jeffrey Jey (Gianfranco Randone) with whom he created Eiffel 65 (which he left in 2005). Since 2000 he has released numerous singles, as well as a series of collections with remixes and three EPs reaping millions of record sales
Monday 30 December at 20.00, a day dedicated to young protagonists from the world of entertainment such as “Awed and his friends”, a trio of very young youtubers Simone Paciello, aka “Awed”, a youtuber, writer and actor; Riccardo Dose, also a youtuber and actor who has made irony and parody his distinctive characteristics; and the last member of the group is Amedeo Preziosi. The trio of young artists are all very famous, much loved and closely followed on the web by young people: in fact Awed has a channel with over 2.2 million subscribers with 588 million views of his videos. Another young youtuber, this time from Genoa, called “CROMO” Matteo Cerisola (born in 1998) will also be on stage. He began his musical career at only fifteen, taking inspiration from the "old-school" American rappers and creating a unique and original style that is immediately recognizable. After various accolades in the “streamed” world, he released his debut album “Oro cromato” (Chromed Gold) in 2018 featuring many friends and colleagues: Vegan Jones, Young Slash, Vaz Tè. The day continues, at 22.00, with Boomdabash, one of the best Italian reggae bands, originating in Salento, their 2018 single "Non ti dico no" with Loredana Bertè went double platinum and was Italy’s most broadcast song in 2018 winning major awards. The band started 2019 participating in the 69th edition of the Sanremo Festival where they presented the song "Per un milione", triple platinum. On 9 May the group celebrated 15 years of career with a special concert - event "Boomdabash & Friends" in the company of many guests and friends from the music industry. The release of "Mambo Salentino" a hit featuring Alessandra Amoroso, again double platinum, conquered the rankings by winning the RTL 102.5 SUMMER POWER Hit on 7 June 2019, making it the most popular summer hit of 2019.
On the evening of New Year's Eve, Tuesday 31 December, the appointment of the long New Year's Eve is preceded at around 9 pm, by greetings from the president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti and Genoa’s Mayor, Marco Bucci followed, at 9.30 pm, by the rapper Tedua - vulgo (Mario Molinari - born in 1994 in Cogoleto and brought up in Milan), active since 2014, he initially published his songs in free download, then in 2017 he released his first recording distributed by a major label followed, in 2018, by the album "Mowgli - the disc of the Jungle" which went to the top of the sales charts. Tedua's show precedes the true “event” of the evening, with the party moving into top gear at 10.30 pm with Giusy Ferreri, an artist who needs little introduction. The Palermitan artist was the protagonist of the first edition of the Italian talent show "X Factor" (in 2008), which establish her in the recording field with a number of EPs and she went on to participate in three editions of the Sanremo Festival (2011, 2014 and 2017) with, respectively “Il mare immenso”, “Ti porto a cena con me” & “Fa talmente male”. In 2015 the song "Roma-Bangkok", in which she duets with Baby K was a summer hit, and this was repeated in 2018, when she won the Wind Summer Festival 2018 with “Amore” together with Takagi & Ketra and capoeira.

NEW YEAR IN STRADA NUOVA
Why not begin your New Year's Eve in the lobby of Palazzo Bianco, with "Pinocchio at the museum", an adventure game combining the fun of a video game and a treasure hunt. It takes about an hour and requires a smartphone, you find the hidden QR Codes, solve the puzzles scattered throughout the buildings and make choices that will determine the history of Collodi. As part of the “extraordinary” openings of the Palazzi dei Rolli for New Year's Eve, Palazzo Tobia Pallavicino, the sixteenth-century palazzo which is now the seat of the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, in via Garibaldi 4, will open it’s atrium and main floor, to allow visitors to admire the extraordinary beauty of the Golden Room with it’s famous mirrors, gilded stuccos and frescoes by Lorenzo De Ferrari.
Palazzo Nicolosio Lomellino, a privately owned “jewel” in via Garibaldi 7, also offers a special New Year's day opportunity to discover Bernardo Strozzi. Tuesday 31 December, from 10 to 18 and from 21 to one, it will be possible to discover the works and career of the Genoese priest to whom the exhibition "Bernardo Strozzi (1582-1644). The conquest of color" is dedicated. Also celebrating the beginning of 2020 with a special toast. The exhibition, with over forty works, includes about 15 works never previously exhibited and five unpublished works.

In addition, from 10 pm the street, the halls of the buildings and Tursi will be enlivened by the "Tanto Grass Gang Band", playing jazz, pop and funk cadences and involving the public in music and dance. From 11.30 pm there will be a toast and a welcome to 2020 in the courtyard of Palazzo Tursi and after midnight the music continues this time on the notes of the violin “Vuillaume” (violin maker preferred by Paganini) by Andrea Cardinale, on the “Ramirez” guitar (belonging to Andres Segovia) played by Josè Scanu and of Gaia Godani's flute to listen to famous pieces by Nicolò Paganini and Gioachino Rossini, then moving on tothe 1900s with classic tango and Piazzolla, without neglecting the music of cinema and a tribute to classical song and more.
NEW YEAR AT PORTO ANTICO
The Piazza delle Feste overlooking the Old Port will open at 22.00 (free admission) in Calata Falcone Borsellino with the 50 musicians of the Wind Orchestra of the City of Cinquefrondi offering a fine performance of a musical repertoire that ranges from the classic pieces by Gioachino Rossini , Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini to Enrico Morricone, Nicola Piovani and Leonard Cohen.
The evening will be presented by Max Repetto with the extraordinary participation of Andrea Carlini. After the midnight toast, the fun continues until dawn with a wild DJ SET.
In Piazzale Mandraccio you can find the artists of the 19th edition of “Circumnavigando - International Circus Theatre Festival - Fool Immersion” under the circus tent from 10 pm a unique show made up of stunts, theatre, dance and music together with the My Laika / Side Company Kunst Cirque (entrance fee).
For the little ones and their families "La città dei bambini e dei ragazzi" in the Cotton Warehouses will remain open all evening from 9pm with a program of games, workshops and special animations: an eccentric scientist will accompany the children to discover climate change and the increasingly delicate balance of the ecosystem, while jugglers and acrobats will welcome the participants to the evening and introduce the colourful and festive Circobus (Entrance fee).
We cannot overlook "SAN SILVESTRO ON ICE" the skating rink will be open (entrance fee) from 22 to 5 on January 1. A New Year's Eve with music, lights and a toast at midnight.
NEW YEAR'S EVE AT PALAZZO DUCALE
Culture, gala dinner and many surprises between toasts and celebrations in one of the beating hearts of the city. Palazzo Ducale is open to the city and its exhibitions will remain open until 2 to celebrate the last night of the year in the name of art and beauty.
In addition, "Waiting for the Twenties" exactly a century later, a dinner in the style of the 20’s accompanied by the Genova Swing Band and of course the exhibition "Anni Venti in Italia".
A combined visit to the "Anni Venti in Italia" exhibition and a midnight toast with sparkling wine, panettone and mandarin oranges in the Loggia of the Cortile Maggiore of Palazzo Ducale is also planned.

NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE GENOA AQUARIUM
Celebrate the end of the old year and the arrival of the new one immersed in the magic of the sea: once again for 2020 Genoa’s Aquarium New Year’s special event returns. New to this edition is the special New Year's Eve JUNIOR Aquarium dedicated exclusively to children aged from 5 to 11. An opportunity for families to celebrate together, but with separate programs for adults and children.
New Year at the Aquarium begins at 20.00 with a free flow visit to the exhibition path to discover the nocturnal life of the inhabitants of the pools. Guests can enjoy a welcome cocktail and then continue their evening with the Gala Dinner and midnight toast in the splendid setting of the Cetacean Pavilion. NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE PARK OF VILLA PALLAVICINI
Also the Park of Villa Pallavicini offers an event not to be missed for the evening of December 31st. From 9.30 pm you will be guided on a visit of discovery of the parks mysterious and esoteric decoration which will be followed by a dessert and toast at the Castello del Capitano, where a fantastic surprise awaits you. Afterwards you will be escorted on the descent to the Grande Lago, where the visit will conclude with greeting the new year.
