Get ready to experience an evening of dancing and fun with the most awaited parade of the summer! On Sunday 2 July, the streets and squares of the center host the colorful Genova Dance Parade, an electronic music event conceived by Alessio Parodi, Daniele Sartore and Valentino Marchiori. The goal is to realize in Genoa, an international and relevant event, where fun, performances and parties meet the theme of the environment and sustainability. Genova Dance Parade, in fact, follows the model of some of the most important and iconic events in Europe, which through a virtuous model, have been able to combine territory, city and music by involving a very varied target of people: adults and children, young people and families .

 

Are you curious to know how the event takes place? A pre-established route is settled up to host a parade of cars and carts playing music: it starts around 6 pm from the Ocean Live Park and then goes along viale Brigate Partigiane, via Cadorna, via XX Settembre; from here, turn into via Ceccardi, via Dante and go back along via XX Settembre and via Cadorna until Piazza della Vittoria. Here, again from 6pm, a maxi stage will see internationally renowned DJs perform. Here's who will take the console!

  • Pan-Pot: under this name are known the German musicians, DJs and producers Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix. The duo is considered one of the most significant collaborations in techno music, both in terms of sales volume and critical response. Since their conception, Pan-Pot have established their presence in the contemporary techno music scene enjoying huge success in 2007, with the release of their first album Pan-O-Rama, produced under Anja Schenider's record label (new at that time), Mobilee records. Their musical repertoire is characterized by a variety of musical influences including House, Techno and IDM, allowing them to create Live Sets defined by strong rhythms, electronic sounds and vocals.
  • Matthias Tanzmann: Matthias Tanzmann's artistic journey began in 1997, as a resident in one of the most important clubs in all of Germany, the Distillery in Leipzig, his hometown. 
    His style has evolved over the years developing from the classic Deep House, passing through the Minimal up to the Techno. A trace which is still in continuous developing, not exclusively aimed at the dancefloor but characterized by a base of deep and dark sounds, pervaded by a transversal beat between house and techno. the end of the 90s indelibly marks the turning point in Matthias' career: he founded, with Daniel Scholz, the "Gamat 3000 recordings", presenting parallel productions on labels such as Dessous Recordings, Freude am Tanzen and FM musik, reaching its apex with the hit "Feeling Love" in 1999. The new millennium sees the debut of Matthias in a solo version with the e.p. "Rose Garden", which definitively confirms him on the international scene. Today, Matthias Tanzmann is one of the most sought-after DJs on the European scene, thanks to amazing performances in clubs all over Germany, a very successful Asian and South American tour and having become resident of one of the most successful situations, the Circoloco.
  • Davide Squillace: born in Siena but moved to Naples at a very young age, Squillace is a leading protagonist of the Neapolitan Techno scene. His releases on historical labels such as Genetic, Design, Primate, Sketch etc etc, have obtained excellent feedback from both critics and the public who have consecrated him among the big names of world Techno. Today Davide lives in Barcelona, where he produces during the week, while at the weekend he flies to play in the most prestigious venues on the planet. His sound is a deadly blend of Techno, Hardgroove and Funk in full Naples style.
