DI MOLO IN MOLO
Di Molo in Molo is a walking tour from pier to pier in the ancient port of Genova, aimed to discover how did the port work in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century and which its major transformation has been over time.
It starts with the still visible traces of what the ancient port area was for Genoa: an operational area, wich has been transformed into an integral and vital part of the urban fabric. Di Molo in Molo explains means and equipment; technologies and energy sources; work and people; and what is still preserved of the ancient city. Together with the story, you can learn to ‘read’ the landscape, to imagine sounds, noises, stories. To reflect on the man-machine relationship.
Di Molo in Molo was conceived and written by the architect Guido Rosato co-founder member of the inGE Association; and it is also a printed guide published by SAGEP Editori.
