On October 13th and 14th Genoa celebrates the Rolli Days, October 2018 edition: a voyage through the splendours of the Renaissance and Baroque style in Genoa discovering sumptuous estates which belonged to the Genoese aristocracy and were built to demonstrate its finesse, elegance and richness. Dozens of magnificent palaces, beloved by Rubens, which became part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 2006.
As always, these richly decorated buildings, full of history, will open to the public to unveil the secrets of Genoa and its families.
Genoa is normally reachable by car, plane, train, sea: here all the useful information.
As every year, it will be possible to visit many buildings of the historical center of Genoa and Strada Nuova; some new features are also planned:
Villa di Negro-Rosazza (Piazza di Negro 3) will open to the public for the first time. The building is a precious example of architecture, sculpture and painting, as well as the suburban home of the rich Ambrogio di Negro, whose city residence can be visited, during the same days, in Via San Luca 2.
Villa Pallavicino delle Peschiere (Via San Bartolomeo degli Armeni 5) will be open only on Saturday 13. A home loved by Dickens and decorated by Bergamasco and Luca Cambiaso, as well as the home of the powerful Tobia Pallavicino, whose city residence was in Via Garibaldi 4.
Two absolute novelties among the palaces: Palazzo Franzone Spinola (Via Luccoli 23) with its (never shown to the public until today) eighteenth-century frescoes by Domenico Parodi; and Palazzo De Mari (Via Luccoli 26).

This edition of the Rolli Days 2018 takes place during an October dedicated to Paganini, thanks to the Paganini Festival and the opening of the great "Paganini Rockstar" exhibition (Palazzo Ducale, 19 October 2018 - 10 March 2019).
For this reason even the Rolli Days will be full of musical events - soon updates on the program.
